The Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Division of Bet Shemesh Engines Ltd. (BSEL) benefits from the expertise and experience of many years and experience of working with the Israel Air Force (IAF) and leading manufacturers and operators around the world. Moreover, most of the BSEL management and technical staff began their careers in the world of Aviation in the IAF.

Continuous updating by the industry leaders, Pratt & Whitney and GE Aviation, maintains the team’s performance at the highest standards possible and enables BSEL’s skilled employees to meet the requirements of one of the most advanced, capable, and “combat ready” Air Forces.

BSEL’s MRO Division which leads BSEL’s activities in the Engines Sector, provides repair, overhaul and engineering services to complete engines as well as to modules and engine components and accessories.

Being oriented towards supporting Military Forces, BSEL serves many military customers worldwide including the Royal Thai Air Force, Army and Navy; Colombian Army and Air Force, Hellenic Navy, Philippine Air Force, Ecuadorian Air Force and others.

In-house Repairs

The majority of part repairs is performed in-house. In-house technologies and capabilities include:

  • Machining
  • Shot peening
  • Heat treatment
  • Welding
  • Brazing
  • Plating
  • Coating, including computerized robotic
    METCO plasma spray system, thermospray,
    HVOF and Sermetel coating
  • Computerized airflow measurement
  • Balancing – both static and dynamic
  • NDT (Non Destructive Tests) capabilities –

In House Repairs

The MRO Division of Bet Shemesh Engines provides maintenance and upgrade services for the following engines/modules:

  • Pratt & Whitney: F100 Series
  • GE Aviation: T700 Series
  • Rolls-Royce: Allison M250 Series
  • Pratt & Whitney Canada: PT6 Series
  • UAV engines

Major Engine Upgrade programs carried out by the MRO Division include upgrading of F100-100 engines to the DPI/220E configuration, and upgrading of T700 engines to the -701C/D configuration, with hundreds of engines and modules supplied to date to our satisfied customers.

Testing

  • Large and small onsite test cells enable the testing of thrust engines up to 35,000 lb and turboshaft engines up to 2,500 shp.
  • Computerized data acquisition system is in use for obtaining highest accuracy
  • Routine calibration and correlation, as per requirements of the engine manufacturers
